About Us
The mission of The Rebound Foundation is to end the cycle of abuse through safe transitional housing for women and children, and educating youth to prevent violence.
Who We Are
The Rebound Foundation is a 501c3 organization in Springfield, MO, founded by Dana and Christina Ford, that raises funding and awareness to help renew and restore women who are courageous enough to make a recovery from domestic abuse, and to help build a new generation that promotes healthy relationships. It’s our mission to support women in their fresh start by providing a supportive and safe home and prevent youth from entering the cycle of abuse.
Marda’s House
Through our Marda’s House transitional housing program, women survivors can enjoy clean, stable housing for up to six months while they work toward independence.
The Block
The Block program is a prevention initiative to break the cycle of intimate partner violence, teen dating violence, and sexual assault by providing quality education to help build a culture of nonviolence in youth, teach safe and healthy relationships, and equip leaders with the right tools to educate the youth they serve.
The Rebound Challenge
In 2017, Dana Ford, then-head men’s basketball coach at Tennessee State University, championed the first Rebound Challenge Game. Students, local businesses and fans alike joined in to bring awareness to the issue of domestic violence and to pledge their support for The Rebound Foundation and Marda’s House.

How does The Rebound Challenge work? Supporters are encouraged to pledge $1 (or more) per rebound the Bears make during their Rebound Challenge Game. Every donation will go directly to The Rebound Foundation to help with the annual housing expenses of Marda’s House.
