In 1976, a concerned group of community members started the Family Violence Center. In 2010, we changed our name to Harmony House. Our mission is to provide shelter, advocacy, and education to survivors of domestic violence and promote the principle that all individuals have the right to a life free of abuse. To date, we have impacted the lives of over 14,000 women and children, and we are the largest domestic violence shelter in Missouri.
