The Love Shack Boutiques are woman-owned and locally operated upscale intimacy boutiques located in San Antonio, Texas. Since 2012, our mission has been to create a safe, all-inclusive, fun, and community-driven space for people to learn about and explore their sexuality. We carry everything from lingerie, and intimate toys, to sexy gifts. Love Shack Boutique has an event space and hosts educational speakers and workshops, and is also available for private parties, events, and mixers. At Love Shack Boutique you will have the confidence to shop in a safe and comfortable sex-positive environment surrounded by our friendly, credentialed staff.
Love Shack Boutique is the first woman-owned and locally operated adult store to expand into a chain in San Antonio, Texas. Our flagship store is located in the Medical Center area at 1580 Babcock Road. Our second store is located in the Dove Creek area at 10038 Potranco Road.
Our stores offer couples and individuals a fun, upscale, and courteous atmosphere in which to shop, inquire and learn. Your experience in our retail boutique is different than that of a typical adult novelty shop or sex toy store. We offer workshops taught by certified sex educators and demos of our carefully-selected toy collection for you to touch and explore. Our boutique offers the highest quality, body-safe products for enhancing your sexual experience. Lubricants and body treats have testers as well, so you can compare textures, tastes, and scents. The Love Shack Boutique features quality lingerie and corsets ranging in sizes from small – 4x, bachelorette party supplies, novelties, sex toys/adult toys, and more.
The classy ambiance that greets our guests is enhanced by the excellent customer service provided by knowledgeable and friendly expert staff. Whether our customers are browsing through our assortment of bath and body products, considering an intimacy-enhancing purchase, or making an apparel selection, we are confident that their experience will be pleasant and rewarding.
We Give Back
We are a small locally owned business trying to do our part to help the community that we call home. We frequently participate in community events and provide non-profit support. In addition to hosting an annual holiday food drive to benefit the San Antonio Food Bank, we also host an annual children’s toy drive to benefit the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. We have proudly sponsored and/or made charitable donations to benefit several local charities : The San Antonio Aids Foundation (SAAF), Alamo Area Resource Center (AARC), Period UTSA, Susan G. I get asked all the time what made me want to open an adult store. Well here’s a cliff notes version (do people even use those anymore?!). I was attending college and working a full-time job, when I decided to supplement my income by doing fun in-home toy parties. These parties were like Mary Kay/Pampered Chef at-home parties. I would educate and sell products, except instead of selling makeup or kitchen supplies. I would sell vibrators and other bedroom accessories. When I did these parties -I always heard the same thing from my customers- If I had a retail store here in San Antonio? Because the way I presented it made everyone so comfortable to shop for these intimate products and all the stores here in town were not “nice”. So, I went to every store in San Antonio and didn’t get that warm, welcoming, friendly vibe (lol). I knew I could do better and decided that I wanted to create a nice, upscale shopping experience unlike anything else in San Antonio. So after doing home parties part-time and working a full-time job for 10+ years, I decided to take the leap and I literally quit my day job. I opened up Love Shack Boutique in 2012, and it has been the best decision I ever made! We now have 2 locations and an event center where we host classes, private parties, and educational workshops.
On another note, we are proudly family-owned and operated, my niece, Alyssa is our amazing general manager. When my other niece, brother, and sisters visit they also get in on the action and get to work helping assist with events, and on orders, etc. My mom also likes to help any way she can, she usually makes all the gift baskets, and swag bags for our events and parties.
I am a certified sex educator through the American College of Sexologists. I also have a B.A. from The University of Texas-San Antonio (UTSA). As a business owner and active community member, I am a professional associate of the following organizations: The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO)-San Antonio Chapter, I currently serve on the Board of Directors for The San Antonio Women’s Chamber of Commerce. Statesman and member of The Alamo Ranch / 151 Business Association and a member of The Helotes Area Chamber of Commerce. I am also a co-founder for the women’s networking group, Women and Wine on Wednesdays.
